LGBTQ Community Inclusion

Aligned with the University of California’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, UC San Diego values and supports inclusive definitions of family. As a result of the 2015 UC San Diego Academic Senate-Administration Joint Task Force on Family Accommodations, this campus’s academic family accommodation policies (PPM 230-15) were substantially expanded in 2016 to better serve both the LGBTQ academic community and the greater academic community at large. UC San Diego’s policies now exceed University of California requirements.
